a life CONSIDERED

a home COLLECTED

Meet Carolyn

I believe the best interiors reveal the people who LIVE in them

For more than twenty years, I’ve designed homes by beginning with the people who live in them—their histories, habits, collections, contradictions, the things they simply can’t live without.

My approach combines a trained design eye with instinct, curiosity, and a lifelong fascination with objects. Sourcing is central to my work: searching galleries, vintage dealers, artists’ studios, showrooms, flea markets—anywhere, actually—for pieces that make a room feel uniquely yours.

When what we’re looking for doesn’t exist, I work with artists, makers, craftspeople, and workrooms to create something specifically for the project.

My process is personal and collaborative. My aim is never to impose a signature look, but to bring clarity, imagination, and a strong point of view to yours.

our design ethos

a HOME should become more yours with time.

I’m interested in interiors that evolve rather than expire—rooms shaped by good materials, thoughtful choices, things worth keeping, and objects gathered over a lifetime.

I mix periods, provenance, and points of view freely. New pieces live alongside vintage ones, commissioned work alongside things already loved. The goal is never a perfectly coordinated room, but one with depth, character, and a sense that it could belong to no one else.

on sustainability…

Sustainability, for me, is closely tied to longevity. I favor vintage and existing pieces, work with local artists and makers whenever possible, and look for materials and craftsmanship that will age well. The goal is to create homes, and choose things, that are worth living with for a very long time.
